RHS Olympics
09 Feb 2014
Regina Huda School had an exciting week of Olympic events in February to engage the students in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. Each elementary class competed for gold medals throughout the week in events such as the class with the least amount of ‘lates’ every morning, the best class mascot, and the class with the most exercise minutes each day. On Friday, February 14th, Gr. 1-8 students met in the gym for an “Olympic Cheer Off” where each class presented an Olympic cheer. After the cheer off, we all went outside for some winter Olympic events. Regina Huda School’s MYSLC (Middle Years Student Leadership Council) competed against Gr. 1-8 teachers in a tug-of-war competition, a ski-shoe race, and a Canadian flag relay race. The MYSLC ended up taking home the win! These events helped excited and motivate the students at RHS to watch the Olympics and cheer on our athletes. Go Canada!
